HOW TO: Migrate a customer project from another dealer

As part of the 'Create Chowmain Project' process, it is mandatory to input the customer's email address. This address is used as a unique identifier to confirm ownership of the home automation system, particularly when a customer seeks to transfer their project from one dealer to another. This process ensures that the customer maintains control over their system.

If you are a dealer taking over a project initially created by another dealer, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a ticket and provide us with the Project Code, which can be found in the Project Agent installed within the home automation system along with the customer email address registered by the previous dealer.
  2. We will lookup the email address to see if it matches the project code. If it does we will email the customer via the verified email address confirming that they wish to transfer their project to the new dealer.
  3. Upon email response from the customer we will transfer the project.

This process helps us maintain a secure and seamless transfer of ownership between dealers.
