HOW TO: Add my Tax ID in

To support compliance with regional tax regulations, Chowmainsoft has added a dedicated section within the billing portal for customers to enter their Tax Identification Number (Tax ID). Once entered, your Tax ID will automatically appear on all newly generated invoices.

Please note that Chowmainsoft does not collect or remit sales tax, VAT, or GST for customers outside of New Zealand. For customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, a reverse charge VAT statement is included on each invoice to satisfy local tax reporting requirements.

To add or remove your Tax ID, follow the steps below:
  1. Navigate to the login page of Chowmain website: Chowmain - Login

  2. Sign in using the credentials provided upon account approval.

  3. Ensure you are logged in—registration and sign-up options will be replaced with the cart and user icons.
     

  4. Navigate to the Your Profile page.

  5. Scroll to the Dealer Information section and under Tax ID click on 'Edit'
  6. Click Add another Tax ID

  7. From the Type dropdown, select your region and enter your Tax ID in the Value field

  8. Click the blue save icon to store your Tax ID

  9. Upon Saving:
    1. A syncing icon will appear, indicating communication with Stripe (our payment gateway).
    2. A green check mark indicates the Tax ID was accepted.
    3. A red exclamation mark indicates an error—please check the entered value.
  10. To remove your Tax ID:
    1. Click the red bin icon next to the entry.
    2. Confirm deletion when prompted by clicking Delete.
