TROUBLESHOOTING: Licence synchronisation

Once a licence has been assigned to a project in the Chowmain Portal, the licence state will automatically sync during its next check-in. Each controller communicates with our licensing server approximately every 10 minutes to verify its current licence status.

If you have recently assigned or updated a licence and wish to apply the changes immediately, you can manually force a check-in.

For Control4 Systems

To manually trigger a licence refresh:

  1. Open Composer Pro.

  2. Navigate to the Chowmain Licensing Agent.

  3. Under Actions, select Refresh Licences.

This will prompt the controller to immediately check in with the Chowmain licensing server and update its licence state accordingly.

If the licence still does not appear active after performing a manual refresh, please verify the project is correctly linked in the Chowmain Portal using the correct project code and that the controller has a stable internet connection.
