CONTROL4 HIKVISION: Troubleshooting MinMoe Door Station Call Failures

Calling the MinMoe door station from a Control4 Navigator results in the call being ended almost immediately, is often caused by one of the following configuration issues.

Incorrect call audio encoding

Control4 is very specific about the audio encoding that devices use.
Calls to the door station must use G.711ulaw or G.711alaw.
Login to the webui of the MinMoe device and navigate to:
System and Maintenance > System Configuration > Video/Audio > Audio tab
Make sure that the only options listed under Enabled Encoding are as follows (in the same order):


DHCP DNS Settings

We have always had good results from using Google's DNS addresses for the Preferred and Alternate DNS settings.
