CONTROL4 UNIFI: Login Connection Status Unauthorized (Error 401 / Error 403)

CONTROL4 UNIFI: Login Connection Status Unauthorized (Error 401 / Error 403)

If Login Connection Status in UniFi Access / Protect / Network shows Unauthorized, this could be caused by a few things:

  1. Ensure your UniFi Controller is running the latest firmware 
  2. Ensure the Server IP,  Username, Password and port  is entered correctly
  3. Ensure that 2FA (Two / Multi Factor Authentication) is disabled on the login if not using a local login. Local login is strongly recommended.   
  4. In some circumstances, if the incorrect login has been attempted too many times, the account may be locked. This can generally be unlocked by changing the password or rebooting the UniFi Controller
