Control4 Epson Projector: Unable To Connect To Projector

Control4 Epson Projector: Unable To Connect To Projector

Problem

Driver is unable to Connect to Epson Projector in Control4

Solution

  1. If using LS12000, please refer to the latest information on: https://help.chowmain.software/portal/en/kb/articles/control4-epson-ls12000
  2. Some projectors may require support to be enabled. Check the manual for further information on enabling the ESC/VP protocol
  3. Android-based Epson projectors may not be supported
  4. You can test that the ESC/VP protocol is correctly enabled using: https://www.epson.eu/en_EU/faq/KA-01646/contents?loc=en-us
  5. If using RS232
    1. Ensure that RS232 cable is connected correctly and is working
    2. We recommend against using gender benders where possible
    3. You may need to change Null Modem RS232 setting for the port based on the wiring used
  6. If using TCP/Network
    1. Ensure that the IP Address is set in network connections and is correct
    2. Ensure that you can ping and connect to the projector. It is not recommended to use VLAN's for control.
    3. If you are using IP control please make sure that you have set the projector standby mode to ‘communications on’ otherwise you will lose control when the projector turns off.
  7. As an alternative, if ESC/VP is not supported, PJLink may be supported instead. More information on our PJLink driver is available from: https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-pjlink
