Control4 Philips Hue: Linking and setup of Philips Bridge in Control4
Prerequisites
- Ensure that System Requirements are met
- Ensure that Bridge is running the latest firmware
- Philips Hue Bridge must be set to static IP, or be reserved via DHCP
Driver setup
- Add Chowmain Hue Bridge Driver to project
- Set Bridge IP Address and Port (Port is generally 443)
Linking Bridge / Authentication
- All Philips Hue Bridges have a round physical Link button on the top of the bridge which needs to be pressed to allow the linking process to begin. Customer Philips Hue account details are not required for the process
- By default, after setting up the Control4 Hue Bridge driver for the first time, it will automatically set itself to link. Otherwise, press the Link Bridge Action
Setup Devices
- Use the AutoSetup Action in Actions to setup all hue devices automatically
