Control4 Shelly: Shelly Agent Unable To Connect To Cloud

Problem

Shelly Agent fails to connect to cloud  diagnostics shows the Cloud Connection as Invalid

Solution

  1. Use Display Diagnostics in Shelly Agent for more info
  2. Ensure you are running the latest version: https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-shelly-generic#revisions
  3. Check that Cloud Server is correct, and there is no blank space at the front or end of the string. It needs to contain the https:// still (such as https://shelly-67-zw.shelly.cloud). Double check in https://control.shelly.cloud to ensure that the Cloud server is still correct (it may have changed). For more info: https://help.chowmain.software/portal/en/kb/articles/control4-shelly-obtaining-an-api-key 
  4. Ensure that the API key is correct and there are no spaces at the beginning or end. It should appear similar to "NDY1Y2R1aWA5118E3716D068559B65AAAE171C9263FD112729B5A5AD0EBF30D491B57AAD109A90A6B59E21110E1" Double check in https://control.shelly.cloud to ensure that the Cloud server is still correct (it may have changed).   5. Ensure that the internet is working correctly on the Control4 Controller
  6. Ensure that the "Cloud Authorisation Key" and "Cloud Server" properties are not mixed up
