Control4 Shelly: Obtaining An API Key

Benefits of Shelly Cloud

To facilitate Setup of Shelly, it is recommended to use our Shelly Agent and setup Shelly Cloud.

This provides fast setup of devices, IP self-healing and better handling of sleepy devices.

Alert
Chowmain's Shelly Driver suite will always use LAN for communication. Shelly Cloud is simply used for enhanced provisioning  and operation. It cannot be used by our driver to control remote devices. All devices must be accessible locally by the controller.

For further improved self-healing, Local Discovery can also be enabled in parallel.
