Control4 Shelly: Enabling Blind Level Mode / Calibration

Problem

Blind does not provide positional information or accurate control

Solution

  1. Ensure you are using the latest version of the Chowmain Shelly Driver: https://chowmain.software/drivers/control4-shelly-generic#revisions
  2. Ensure that the device profile is set to Cover mode (if required) instead of Relay mode
  3. Ensure the Blind is calibrated. More info is available from the Shelly Knowledgebase: https://kb.shelly.cloud/knowledge-base/shelly-shutter-device-smart-control . Once activated, the Shelly Interface will show a percentage selector, instead of only up/down. Please note, calibration requires sufficient load to be connected for calibration. Calibration may fail if using dry contacts 
  4. Setup the Shelly device in Control4 as per normal 
  5. Set the Control Type to Level in Properties: 
  6. If the Movement time is incorrect, set Manual Movement time to Manual, and set the value correctly
