ELAN Escea: Unable to Control Fireplace

Summary

Fireplace Control does not operate correctly, or information is not correct 

Solution

  1. Ensure Fireplace is connected by network and can be pinged. 
  2. NCAPI must be enabled. This is done via the Fire Settings menu in the Escea Smartheat app.
  3. The correct driver must be used. The Escea Fireplace Gen 3 driver is for fireplaces that have the Black color touchscreen remote. The Escea Fireplace driver is for the Beige remote with the LCD display
  4. Ensure that you are running the latest version of the Escea driver and that the licence isn't expired
  5. The Escea Remote control must have batteries
