ELAN BOND: Elan [401]Action received by Bond but not sent

Symptom

Bond shows a "Elan [401]Action received by Bond but not sent" error

Solution

  1. Ensure that you are using the Bond Bridge Pro driver, and version 2026.5.4 or later (this will operate on all bond devices, including Smart By Bond and Bond Bridge). The Bond Bridge, and Smart By Bond drivers are deprecated. You may need to migrate to Chowmain licencing (which is a free upgrade)
  2. If you have multiple Bond Bridges, ensure that Auto discovery is disabled, or the Bond ID configuration string has been correctly filled in. Otherwise, discovery may incorrectly detect and replace the IP of the driver with the incorrect ID
  3. Ensure that the IP is correct. On some networks, Auto discovery may fail (particularly if IGMP snooping is enabled), and self-healing may not work correctly.
  4. Ensure that the Token is valid. The token configuration string should show a valid token. If not, power cycle the Bond unit, and within 10minutes, press Get Token
