CONTROL4 HIKVISION: Live view works locally but not remote

If the camera’s live view functions correctly when connected locally through the Control4 iOS or Android app, but fails to display when accessed remotely (off-network), the issue is typically caused by the ‘Publicly Accessible’ option being enabled within the driver’s settings.

This option must remain unchecked, as enabling it assumes the camera can be accessed directly from the internet without routing through Control4’s secure remote access servers.

To resolve the issue, simply untick the ‘Publicly Accessible’ box, as shown in the example screenshot below, and refresh the system.
